J. Frank Clause, R.N., age 62, of Old Forge, passed away Monday evening. Born in Scranton on May 10, 1948, son of the late Edward W. and Emma Jean Cesare Clause, Frank was a graduate of Old Forge High School, Class of 1966, and Wilkes University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Prior to his recent retirement, he worked as an R.N. for the Clarks Summit State Hospital for over 25 years. An SP4 in the Army Reserves and avid baseball fan, he loved the Los Angeles Dodgers and advocating for the Republican Party. Of Roman Catholic faith, he was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Old Forge. Most of all, he was a devoted father and friend, beloved by all.
He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Ann Clause of Bellevue, Nebraska and Jacklynn Ann Barras and husband Joel of North Wales, his former wife, Annmarie Bosak Tyler of Waverly and his best friend, John Guida of Old Forge.
His brother, Edward Clause, preceded him in death.
Funeral services are scheduled to begin on Friday at 9:30AM from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street in Old Forge, with a 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 123 West Grace Street in Old Forge, to be celebrated by Rev. Louis Kaminski, Pastor.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Thursday between 5-8:00PM in the funeral home.
Interment will full military rites by the AMVETS Honor Guard will follow in the Old Forge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s name to St. Ann’s Basilica (c/o 1250 St. Ann Street, Scranton 18504).
