Margaret “Peggy” Darlene Arens, age 60, of West Scranton, passed away Tuesday evening at home. She is survived by her beloved husband of 21 years, Kurt Arens, Sr. Born in Scranton on December 2, 1950, daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Ross Hughes, Peggy first worked with her mother in the family catering business. She was a longtime employee of Spotless Cleaners and prior to becoming ill, she worked for the Clarion Hotel. She loved to cook, adored her five cats and Kurt and her enjoyed their trips to the Mohegan Sun.
She is also survived by two step-sons, Kurt Arens, Jr., and wife Christine of Jessup, and James Arens and wife Billie Jo of Pittston, four brothers, a twin sister and five grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at a date and time to be announced.
