Esther Mae Imes DeLorenzo, age 72, of Taylor, passed away Thursday morning at the Mercy Hospital in Scranton. Born in Taylor on May 22, 1936, daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Bincardi Imes, Esther was a graduate on Taylor High School, Class of 1955. Prior to retirement, she worked production for Consolidated
Molding Products in Moosic. Of Protestant faith, she was a member of the Church of God in Taylor. An animal lover, she adored her puppy, “Katie”. She enjoyed watching television and loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren. A loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend, she will be dearly missed.
Surviving is her daughter, Debbie Nicholson and husband Harry of Taylor, her brother, Arthur Imes and wife Ann Marie of Pittston Twp., and two grandchildren; Drew and Amber Nicholson.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Karen Christian.
Funeral services by the Rev. Doug Hoeffner, Pastor of Taylor’s Church of God, will be held on Monday at 11am at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517
North Main Street in Old Forge. Interment will follow at the Marcy Cemetery in Duryea. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Sunday between 5-8PM at the funeral home.
