Obituaries

Donald F. Moody, age 79, of Old Forge, died Friday morning , at the Community Medical Center in Scranton. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Mae Williams Moody.They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 31, 2004.
Born on March 26, 1925 in Wilkes Barre, he was the son of the late Fred and Hilda Stainthorpe Moody. He was educated in GAR High School in Wilkes Barre. He was a WWII veteran who served in the Army, Air Force and Navy.
Before his retirement he was employed by Chamberlain Corporation of Scranton. He was a member of Clarks Green Assembly of God Church, Clarks Green
Also surviving are three sons,
Roger and Donald Moody, Jr. both of Kissimmee, Fla. and Kevin Moody of Lake Mary, Fla.
Four daughters;Darlene Davis of Ashley, Sharon Edison of Lake Mary, Fla., Dorothy Meyers of Moscow, and Barbara Sawicki of Scranton.One brother, Fred Moody of Forty Fort.13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister Ruth Shock
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. in the Clarks Green Assembly of God Church 204 South Abington Road in Clarks Green with services by the Rev.Glenn H. White, Pastor. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Park in Elmhurst.Friends may call Monday from 6-9 P.M. at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home 517 North Main Street in Old Forge.
