Ann Marie "Nance" Walsh, age 82, of West Scranton, passed away Friday evening under Hospice care at the Mercy Hospital in Scranton. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas J. Walsh. Born in Scranton on September 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Helen Durkin Scanlon. After graduating from West Scranton High, Ann Marie did clerical work for the Comeford Theaters. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in West Scranton, the Church’s Society of the Faithful, the Quilter’s Club, and the L.M.A. Club.

Nance was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.She enjoyed spending time with her family.She loved reading.She was a diehard Notre Dame fan.

Surviving are two sons; Mike Walsh and his wife Debbie, Scranton, and Kevin Walsh, Scranton; three daughters, Mary Ann Terry and her husband Neil, Scranton, Patricia Kelly and her husband Kevin, Weatherly, and Kathleen Moroski and her husband Tom, Moosic; seven grandchildren, Jeremy and Ryan Walsh, Sarah Arcurie, Colleen and Christopher Moroski, Maura and Brett Kelly; and a great grandson, Aidan Walsh.
She was preceded in death by an infant son Thomas and an infant daughter Nance

The funeral will Tuesday at 9am from the Durkan-Cuff-Kearney Funeral Home, 125 North Main Avenue, West Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial 9:30am at St. Patrick’s Church, Jackson Street, West Scranton. . Interment will be in the Cathedral Cemetery. Public viewing hours will be at the funeral home on Monday, 5-8pm.
