Betty Seaman, 88, of Old Forge and a guest of the Willowbrook Assisted Living, Clarks Summit, died Sunday, at the Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. Betty was the wife of the late William R. Seaman who passed away on December 12, 1999. Born in Taylor on September 1, 1918, she was the daughter of the late David and Margaret James Williams. She was a member of Moosic Assembly of God Church and attended Taylor Schools.

She is survived by her four children: a daughter, Elaine S. Burchell of New Milford, and three sons, William D. Seaman of Old Forge, Robert Seaman of New Milford, and Lester W. Seaman of Pittston Twp.; a sister Audrey Hoagland of Lynchburg, VA.; and 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the caring staff at the Willowbrook.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 11AM at the Moosic Assembly of God Church 477 Third Street Moosic with services by by Rev. Dr. Donald Hoagland. Visition will be Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 N. Main Street, Old Forge and again on Wednesday morning at the church from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
The interment will be at Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.
