Obituaries

Ann (Nan) M. Calvert, 79, of Taylor, died Sunday morning at Mercy Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter.
Born in the Minooka section of Scranton on November 25, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Jack and Margaret Langan Hayes. She was a graduate of Minooka High School. Before her retirement she was employed by City of Scranton.She was a member of Church of St. Joseph in the Minooka Section of Scranton.
She is survived by her one son, Paul Calvert of Scranton, and four grandchildren, Paul Jr., Tara, Maria, and Loren Calvert, all of Scranton and two great-grandchildren , Mia Grace and Alivia Calvert, both of Clarks Summit. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including her caregiver, Jackie Ann Southard of Scranton and Shannon Ancherani, NYC, NY.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Walsh and two brothers Jerome P. and Jack Hayes.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. in the Church of St. Joseph, Davis Street, by the Rev. Francis L. Pauselli, Pastor. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Scranton.
Arrangements are under the care of the Durkan-Cuff-Kearney Funeral Home, 125 N. Main Avenue, West Scranton.
