Vera R. Orazzi, RN, age 94, a resident of the Allied Skilled Nursing Center in Scranton, formerly of Old Forge, died Friday morning at the center. She was the widow of Joseph D. Orazzi, who died January 1977.
Born on June 12, 1912 in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Wilhemina Giacomini Armillay. She was a graduate of Old Forge High School and earned her degree as a registered nurse. For over 51 years, she worked as a registered nurse at the Taylor Hospital, Scranton State Hospital and the Taylor Nursing and Rehab. Center, where she later volunteered. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Old Forge.

She is survived by her Son-In-Law, William Stefanko and her Granddaughter, Nancy Stefanko, both of Duryea, a sister, Edna Phillips, of Taylor, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving Daughter, Nadine "Dina" Stefanko, a brother, James "Fulvio" Armillay, and Infant Brother, Paul Armillay.

A mass of christian burial will be Monday at 9:30 A.M. in St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, corner of West Grace and Lawrence Sts., Old Forge, by Rev. W. Jeffrey Paulish, Asst. Pastor. Interment will be at Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton.
Private viewing will be on Sunday.
