Lorraine M. Cichy Thiel, age 75, a guest of the Allied Skilled Nursing Facility in Scranton, formerly of Old Forge and Taylor, died Saturday morning at the Community Medical Center in Scranton.
Born on September 26, 1931 in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Tetlock Cichy. She was a graduate of Old Forge High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Tobyhanna Army Depot, for over 30 years.
She is survived by her brother, Stephen A. Cichy and his wife Anna, of Old Forge, a sister, Jean Kellick of Lorain, Ohio, a grandson, Shane Thiel, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Leslie Thiel and Linda Thiel, a brother, Francis Cichy, and three sisters, Joan Davis, Tillie Kolis and Evelyn Soblosky.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Old Forge by the Rev. Robert P. Arnold, Pastor of St. Stanislaus Church, Old Forge.
Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 N. Main Street, Old Forge.
