Obituaries

Joseph P. Selego, age 85, a resident of the Taylor Nursing and Rehabibiltation Center in Taylor, formerly of Oak Street in Old Forge died Friday evening in the Mercy Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary (Leschinsky) Selego who died November 28, 2005.
Born in Old Forge on August 27, 1921 he was the son of the late Paul and Catherine Swinch Selego.He was a graduate of Old Forge High School .Before his retirement he was employed by General Dynamics in Eynon and was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, Old Forge. He Served in the Army Air Corps and was a professional bowler.
He is survived by his two sons,
Joseph S. Selego of State College, Pa. and Robert Selego of Centre Hall, Pa.One Sister,
Marie Young of San Diego, Calif.
Four grandchildren , Stephen, Anne, Lonnie, and Hayley Selego. Several nieces and nephews including Debbie Johnson with whom he resided.

The funeral will be Thursday at 9:15 A.M. from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 N. Main Street, Old Forge with the Office of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, corner of Church and Vine Streets in Old Forge to be celebrated by the Rev. Gary J. Mensinger, Pastor
Rev. Nicholas Kraynak, Associate Pastor. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Park in Elmhurst.Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. Parastas will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 5:00 P.M.
