Celeste Smith, age 37, of Old Forge, passed away Monday morning at Geisinger Community Medical Center after a longtime illness.
Born in Scranton on September 8, 1983, and daughter of David Smith of Old Forge and the late Cynthia (Kemler) Smith, Celeste was a graduate of Pittston Area High School before attending Empire Beauty School.
Beautiful both inside and out, Celeste was friendly, kind and thoughtful. The focal point of her life was her beloved son, Connor, who will undoubtedly miss his Mommy forever.
She is also survived by her son, Connor, of Old Forge and her sister, Megan of AR; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In her final act of selflessness, Celeste served as an organ donor, ensuring her legacy long lives on through all of those who will benefit from her kindness.
