Janet (Reese) Brigido, age 86, a guest of the Scranton Health Care Center, Scranton, formerly of West Scranton, died Tuesday evening at the Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton.Her husband is Americo Brigido.They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversay on November 11, 2005.
Born on January 3, 1920 in New York City, New York she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marion Hinds Reese.She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School.Before her retirment she was employed for many years as secretary to the administrator of the Scranton State General Hospital in Scranton.She was a past president of the Young Republicans of Lackawanna County.
Also surviving are a son-Stephen Brigido and his wife Ann Marie of Hagerstown, Md. and a daughter
Diane McClellan and her husband Robert of Breinigsville, Pa.
Two grandchildren, Adrianne Brigido and Dr. Stephen Brigido, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers James and Robert and sisters Betty Rees and Eleanor Thayer.
The funeral will be Friday at 12:30 P.M. in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 N. Main Street, Old Forge with services by the Rev. Carl Brigido, Pastor of the Olive Branch Bible Church, Old Forge. Interment will be at Old Forge Cemetery.
