Thomas "Miller" Milius, age 92, of Scranton, died Sunday evening at the Gino Merli Veteran Center in Scranton.
Born on October 5, 1913 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Thomas Milius and the late Mathilda Butkaiks Paulakatis. He was edcuated in the Scranton schools. He was an Army veteran of WWII and received the following decorations, Good Conduct Medal, American Theatre Service Medal, EAME Theatre Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, and the Victory Medal and served in Rhineland and Central Europe with the anti-aircraft. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the University of Scranton as a carpenter in maintenance. He was a member of St. Peter’s Cathedral, Scranton, where he served as a Ecumenical Minister and Sacristan. He was also a member of the Scranton Carpenter’s Union Local # 261.

He is survived by his sister, Jean Carroll Bugonowicz of Taylor, several nieces and nephews, including Charlotte Haser, Jermyn, Patricia Schuster, Newburg, NY, Paul Carroll, Scranton, Mary Ann Kapral, Harveys Lake, Vincent Carroll, Scranton, grand nieces, grand nephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Martin Milius, Joseph Miller, and a sister Martha Miller, a half sister, Mathilda Smilges, and a half brother, Michael Smilges.

The funeral will be Friday at 9:00 A.M. from the Durkan-Cuff-Kearney Funeral Home, 125 N. Main Avenue, West Scranton, with a mass of christian burial at 9:30 A.M. in St. Peter’s Cathedral Wyoming Avenue, Scranton, by Rev. Charles P. Connor, Pastor. Interment will be at Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton.
Friends may call Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain View Care Center 2309 Stafford Avenue Scranton, Pa 18505.

Military services will be conducted by the AMVETS Post 189, Dupont.
