Helene Klemenz Harris, age 71, of Jermyn died Sunday afternoon at home. She was the widow of John Harris who died February 12, 2005.
Born on March 20, 1935 in Nurnburg, Germany she was the daughter of the late Robert and Christine Renk Klemenz, she settled in Jermyn in 1978.She was educated in Germany Schools.She formerly owned the Happy Guest Tavern in Taylor.
She is survived by three sons, Jack Harris of Old Forge, John Harris of Harrisonburg, Va. and Richard Harris of Throop and three daughters,
Vernetta Minutes of Taylor,
Christine Yevich of Scranton, and
Sharon Harris of Jermyn.One brother, Paul Kemenz of Toronto, Canada.Fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren .
She was preceded in death by a brother Wilfred Klemenz.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
