Dennis Jackson, age 62, recently of Scranton, died Saturday at the Community Medical Center, Scranton after a long illness.
Born on September 25, 1943 in Nyack, N.Y., he was the son of the late Lawrence and Grace Edwards Jackson.He was raised in Rockland County, New York. He was educated in Rockland County Schools.He was formerly self employed as an antique furniture restorer.
Dennis was an avid hunter and an extremely talented woodworker.
He is survived by his
best friend Maureen Yodice of Middletown, N.Y.and her 3 daughers Lisa and Catherine of Slate Hill, N.Y. and Michele of Scranton. He is also survived by two sons, David Jackson of Arizona and Joshua Battistin of Florida. Six daughters, Donna and Debra Jackson of Florida;Lisa Arnett, Denise Chirico, and Victoria Essig, of New York, and Jennifer Keyes of Mass. Two brothers, David Jackson of Washington State and Guy Jackson of New Jersey and one sister, Stancia Cramer, New York and numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother Daren
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of the Durkan-Cuff-Kearney Funeral Home, 125 N. Main Avenue, Scranton.
