Obituaries

Ann Marie Jones, L.P.N., age 69, of Dunmore, died Friday morning at home. Her loving husband of 51 years is Keith W. Jones.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Ruth Stein DeSanto. She worked for over 30 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Central Supply Department of the Mercy, now Regional, Hospital of Scranton. Her co-workers became life-long friends.
Ann Marie enjoyed baking, especially Christmas cookies. Family and friends looked forward to the many varieties of cookies she made every year. She also enjoyed gathering the family for holidays.
Her grandsons were the highlight of her life. She loved spending time with them and spoiling them. Passing away unexpectedly, she’ll forever be missed.
Also surviving are daughters, Kathy Beavers and husband John and Melissa Yusinski and husband Mike; grandsons Jahn Beavers and Ian Beavers; three sisters: Donna Mahon and husband Francis, Rosemary Rymond and husband Brian, and Suzie DeSanto; a brother, Karl DeSanto and wife Ann Marie; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday at 7:00PM in the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue in Scranton, to be conducted by Rev. Ginger Daubenhauser, Pastor of the First Congregational United Church of Taylor. Private burial is scheduled for Dunmore Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday between 4-7:00PM at the funeral home.
