Dolores "Dodie" Dunleavy, age 68, of South Scranton, died early Wednesday morning at Mercy Hospital in Scranton. She was the wife of Jack Dunleavy. They had celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on Oct. 15th.
Born on October 18, 1937 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Lillian McKeon Costello. She had attended school in the West Scranton area.
She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Aunt, who always went out of her way for her children and grandchildren. Nothing else came before them, they were her "Top Priority". Before she became ill, she worked for the Radisson Hotel, Scranton, where she was known by everyone there as "Ruby". She liked spending time at local parks and going shopping with her daughters. She also enjoyed " a good cup of tea". She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. We are going to miss you. We will never ever forget you.

She is also survived by her three daughters, Debbie Rybnick of Scranton, Kim Hoover of Old Forge, Patricia Romano of West Pittston, two sons, John Dunleavy of Scranton, Jim Dunleavy of Albany, N.Y., two sisters, Faith LaRussa of Jessup, and Rachel Costello of Scranton, two brothers, Ed Costello and Chuck Costello, both of Scranton. Grandchildren, Kimberly, Stephanie, Brittany, Alex, Taylor, Enzo, Brooke, and Declan,
nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Saturday at 9:00 A.M. from the Durkan-Cuff-Kearney Funeral Home, 125 N. Main Avenue, West Scranton, with a mass of christian burial at 9:30 A.M. in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church Jackson St., West Scranton. Interment will be at Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton.
