Frank Fidecaro, age 90, of Old Forge, died Friday morning at the Mercy Hospital in Scranton. His wife Della Cieszkowicz Fidecaro, died August 12, 1995.
Born in Bangor, Pa. on August 21, 1915 he was the son of the late Vito and Mary Olivo Fidecaro, he formerly resided in Moosic and Oakland, California.He was educated in Bangor Schools. He Served in the Navy during World War II. He was also a member of V.F.W. Post # 4954 of Old Forge. Before his retirement he was employed by Pacific Steel Casting in Berkely, California.
He is survived by his one brother, John Fidecaro and one sister, Kate Moran, both of Raritan, N.J..Several nieces and nephews including Eleanor and Joseph Ogonosky, Florence and Frank Mrowcza, and Jean Smerdon all of Taylor. Great Nieces and Great Nephews including Evelyn and Ira Goosay and Carol and Charles Orloski, all of Taylor.
He was preceded in death by two brothers George and John and two sisters Victoria DeLuca and Rose Stewart.
The funeral will be Monday at 8:30 A.M. from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 N. Main Street, Old Forge with mass of the christian burial at 9:00 A.M. in St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Vine Street in Old Forge to be celebrated by the Rev. Joseph M. Brozena, Pastor Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Old Forge.Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
