Raymond Majercak passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 48, at the Riverside Rehabilitation Center in Taylor after a 10 year battle with cancer.
Born on Nov. 29, 1967, in Passaic, N.J., son of Stephen Majercak of Clinton, N.J., and the late Antoinette Maksimowicz Majercak, Raymond was a graduate of Bishop O’Hara High School. After attending Raritan Valley Community College, he worked for New York Life Company.
He was a bowling enthusiast and an outdoorsman, enjoying hiking, biking and running, having competed in many road races. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees.
Raymond will be dearly missed by his loving family. He is survived by his siblings, Steven Majercak, Valerie Bogart and husband, Paul; David Majercak and wife, Suzanne; Thomas Majercak and John Majercak and wife, Regina; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and two aunts, Mildred Novack of Moscow; and Jean Troxler of Martinsburg, W. Va.
His family wishes to thank the entire staff of both Riverside Center and Moses Taylor Hospital for their collective care of Raymond.
Funeral Mass and burial are scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 2, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in High Bridge, N.J., with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Raymond’s life.
