Mary Cucura, age 85, of Taylor died Friday morning at home. She was the widow of Michael Cucura.
Born on September 14, 1920 in Olyphant she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Pirhalla Ulaky. She was a graduate of Olyphant High School and the Hoyt School of Practical Nursing class of 1965.Before her retirement she was employed by the Jewish Home as a Licensed Practical Nurse.She was a member of St. Ann’s Basilica and also a member of the Taylor Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her one daughter, Jean Swenski of Harrisburg and her two sons,
Dennis Cucura of Dickson City and Michael Cucura of Scranton.One sister, Julie Perry of Peckville and fourteen grandchildren including her caregiver Mary Jennings with whom she resided. Several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, David and Richard Cucura and a daughter Lorraine Robinson .
Vigil prayers will be Monday evening at 8:00 P.M. in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 N. Main Street, Old Forge by the Rev. William J. Maguire, C.P. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 P.M. until time of the services.Interment will be in Marcy Cemetery in Duryea.
