Greg Graziano, age 59, of Lakeland, Florida, and prior to the past year and a half, of Old Forge, died Monday morning after battling Cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane (Dinah) Nelson Graziano. Wed on April 30, 1983, the couple celebrated 31 years of marriage.
Born on May 3, 1955, and raised in Old Forge, before moving to Enfield, CT., Greg attended Enrico Fermi High School. He then moved to Atlanta, GA., where he attended Georgia Southern University. Prior to recently moving to Florida, he served as caretaker of the Abington Hills Cemetery in South Abington Twp for 15 years.
A member of the Elk Lodge #1291 of Lakeland, he was also very active within the Republican Party. A sports fanatic, he loved all Atlanta sports teams, especially the Falcons, enjoyed golfing, and was a former youth sports coach in both Atlanta and Old Forge. Possessing a big heart, Greg was very involved with foster care, touching the lives of many throughout his life. He will be dearly missed by all of those who were lucky enough to know him.
He is also survived by his loving son, Garrett Graziano, and siblings, Dominic Graziano and Phyllis (P.J.) Santarsiero and husband Andrew, all of Old Forge; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Christine Nelson; his nieces, Nichelle Graziano and Alicia Santarsiero; his nephew and godson, Andrew Santarsiero; and his goddaughter, Stephine Wheaton.
Private arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
