Obituaries

Michael F. Alu, Jr., age 48, a lifelong resident of Scranton, passed away Tuesday at the VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton.
Born on September 6, 1966, son of the late Michael, Sr., and Gloria Bocgaski Alu, Michael graduated from the former Scranton Technical High School, Class of 1984, before earning a degree in Carpentry and Millwright from Johnson College. A self-employed carpenter prior to his illness, he was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Scranton. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him.
He is survuved by his sister, Jean Reviello and husband James of Moosic; his brother, Kevin Alu of Lake Ariel; and two nephews, Jay and Chad Reviello.
His family wishes to extend their appreciation to the entire VNA staff for the tremendous care given to Michael throughout his stay.
Private blessing services by Rev. Francis L. Pauselli are scheduled for Friday with interment in Dunmore Cemetery. Arrangement are under the care of the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue, Scranton.
