Alfonzo (Al) Cumbo, age 70, of Scranton, died Friday at home. Preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Fulton Cumbo, in 1991, he is survived by his companion and caregiver, Carol Jenkins of Wilkes Barre.
Born on September 29, 1943, son of the late William and Sophia Brown Cumbo, Al wa a longtime plumber before his retirement.
He is also survived by his children, Shanika, Taquana and Alton; his siblings, Edna Mae, Jeanette and Peter; and two grandchildren.
Private arrangements are under the care of the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue, Scranton.
