Obituaries

Ann Grzybowski, a lifelong resident of of Old Forge, passed away Tuesday morning at home. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Nicholas Grzybowski, on April 8, 2003.
Daughter of the late Carl and Mary Tomasiewicz, Ann was a graduate of Old Forge High School. A worker in the local garment industry for many years, she retired from Anthony’s Fashions in Pittston. Of Roman Catholic faith, she was a longtime member of the former St. Michael’s Church in Old Forge before its closing. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Janice Swartz of Scranton; her grandchildren, Daniel P. and Nicole Swartz; her great grandson, Justin Swartz; and her great-great grandson, Brandon Swartz.
Sisters, Helen Romanchick, Veronica McCaffrey, Josephine Tomasiewicz and Frances D’Amico; and brothers, Frank and Stanley Arasimowicz, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services are scheduled to begin on Saturday at 9:30AM from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge, with a 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial at Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis Street in Scranton, to be celebrated by Rev. Francis L. Pauselli, Pastor. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Old Forge. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Friday between 4-8:00PM at the funeral home.
