Obituaries

Marie J. Yale, age 78, a resident of Star Hill Rest Home in Monroe Twp., passed away Wednesday morning. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Yale. Born in Moosic on April 5, 1935, daughter of the late Charles and Chloe Davis Gildea, Marie retired as a seamstress and was a member of the Moosic United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret Coursey and husband Gary of Berryville, Virginia; her brother, James Gildea of Piscataway, New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews.
Brothers, Francis, Robert, Bill, Leonard, John and Joseph Gildea also preceded her in death.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday at 1:00PM in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge, to be conducted by Rev. James A. Wert. Interment will follow at the Marcy Cemetery in Duryea.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 11:00AM until services.
