Obituaries

Anthony J. Golembieski, Sr., age 85, of Piscataway, N.J., died Sunday morning at Muhlenburg Hospital in Plainfield, N.J. He was the widow of Anne Zelinka Golembieski, who died in 1971.
Born on November 19, 1919 in Old Forge, he was the son of the late Peter and Antoinette Waskiewicz Golembieski. He was educated in the Old Forge schools and was a graduate of North Plainfield High School, Plainfield, New Jersey. He served in the Army Air Corp. during WWII, and was stationed in New Guinea. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the Koba Corp., Middlesex, NJ. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima, Piscataway, NJ. He was also a member of American Legion and the V.F.W. both in Dunellen, NJ.
He is survived by his son, Anthony (Jay) J. Golembieski, Jr. and his wife Soveida, with whom he resided. A sister, Mary Golembieski, of Elmhurst.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Stanley, Leonard, Victor, and John Golembieski and two sisters, Anna Golembieski and Sophie Jargiello.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9:00 A.M. from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 N. Main Street, Old Forge, with a mass of christian burial at 9:30 A.M. in St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, Franklin St., Old Forge.
Interment will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Old Forge.
