Obituaries

Christine Marie Dragg Loscombe, age 47, a lifelong resident of West Scranton, died Sunday morning after an illness. She is survived by her husband, David Loscombe. Wed on March 8, 2005, the couple were married for 8 years. Born on January 8, 1966, daughter of the late Albert Dragg, Sr., and Irene Dragg of Scranton, Christine attended West Scranton High School. Prior to her becoming ill, Christine worked as a caregiver for The Arc of Lackawanna County and for Compassionate In-Home Care (CHC). Of Roman Catholic faith, she attended St. Patrick’s Church. Very talented at arts and crafts, she was also an animal lover who adored her two dogs. Christine will be forever missed by all of those who loved her.
She is also survived by two daughters, Jessica Kovaleski of Olyphant and Brittany Kapelan of Scranton; siblings, David and Brian Dragg, Kelly Cadwalder and Elaine Bosak, all of Scranton; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her family would like to thank both Dr. Michael Alocci and the Emergency Room staff of Geisinger CMC in Scranton for the amazing care given to Christine.
Siblings, Kathy and Albert Dragg, Jr., also preceded her in death.
A Memorial Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, 1403 Jackson Street in West Scranton, will be announced at a later date.
