Obituaries

Kathleen (Kathy) Romano, age 63, of Ransom, died unexpectedly Wednesday at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. She is survived by her beloved husband, Patrick Romano. Wed on July 3, 1970, the couple were married for 42 years. Born in West Scranton, after attending West Scranton High School, Kathy worked for 47 years as supervisor and plant manager for Triple-A Trouser Mfg.; Mayflower; and most recently, Calvin-Taylor Corp. of South Scranton. A member of St. Lucy’s Parish in West Scranton, her favorite pastime was playing the casino slots with her husband.
She is also survived by two sisters, Darlene Ritter and Patricia Tully; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass is scheduled for Wednesday at 9:30AM at St. Lucy’s Roman Catholic Church, 949 Scranton Street in Scranton.
