Ann R. (Nancy) Kugler, age 62, of Scott Twp., formerly of Scranton, died Wednesday morning at the Mercy Hospital in Scranton. She is survived by her husband Earl J. Kugler, Jr.They celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on May 18th.
Born on August 17, 1943 in Scranton she was the daughter of the late Henry and Anna C. Granahan Gerrity. She was a 1961 graduate of the former St. Patrick’s High School.She was a member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, West Scranton and the church’s Society Of The Faithful. She was a volunteer for the Montdale Methodist Church Food Pantry.She was a committee member of the Boy Scout Troop # 265.She was a Blue Star Mother.
She is also survived by her sons Joseph E. and Marialise Simon Kugler of Scott Twp., James H. and Leisa Jones Kugler of Tunkhannock, Earl J. Kugler, Jr. of Scranton, and Tammy Darling Kugler of Clarks Summit, and
Kevin G. Kugler and Sara Sokoloski of Scott Twp..
A daughter Anne J. Kugler Brink and Lewis M. Brink of Scott Twp. One sister, Joan Gerrity Reed and William Reed of Taylor.
One brother, Henry Gerrity, Jr. and Joan Schoonover Gerrity of Scranton. She had 10 loving grandchildren, Joseph, Matthew, Barbara, Gregory, Katie, Ryan, Earl Joseph, III, Michael Kugler and Nicholas and Christopher Brink.She is also survived by several nieces and nephews who were very close to her.
She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and sister-in-law.She was a very loving and giving person who was known for her creativity.She loved being surrounded by her 10 grandchildren who gave her great joy.Her happiest times were spent with her family and friends.She lived her life on her terms, with honesty and love.She will be greatly missed by all who had the priviledge to know her.The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Scott Township Police Department and all the volunteers who came to her aid.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9:00 A.M. from the Durkan-Cuff-Kearney Funeral Home, 125 North Main Avenue, West Scranton with mass of the christian burial at 9:30 A.M. in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Street in West Scranton to be celebrated by Monsignor David L. Tressler, V.F., Pastor.Cremation will follow. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.Interment of her ashes will be at a later date at the convenience of the family in Cathedral Cemetery
