Lucille A. Greco, age 80, of 26075 Cherry Hills Boulevard in Sun City, Calif., formerly of North Main Street in Old Forge died Wednesday at the Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, Calif. She was the widow of Dominick E. Greco who died October 9, 1998.
Born on December 15, 1924 in Taylor she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Ann Race Reich, she settled in Sun City in 2003.Prior to that she resided in Florida.She was a graduate of Taylor High School class of 1942. Before her retirement she was employed by the former Scranton Dry Goods in Scranton.
She was a member of St. Vincent Ferrer Roman Catholic Church, Sun City, California.She was a former member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Taylor and a member of the church’s Family Society where she was a former officer.
She is survived by her one daughter, Carolyn Brenner of Sun City, Calif. and one son,
Attorney Carl J. Greco of Scranton
One sister, Katherine Yankowski of Phoenix, Arizona.Five grandsons, Jason Brenner and James, Patrick, Louis, and Thomas Greco and a granddaughter Carla Greco. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Joseph and Edward Reich and seven sisters, Mary Nowalk, Anna Howells, Mary Kutzo, Julia Heitman, Agnes Mackenzie, Margaret Kennedy, and Helen Oelrich.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:00 A.M. from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 N. Main Street, Old Forge, with mass of the christian burial at 9:30 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Church Street in Taylor to be celebrated by Rev. Francis L. Pauselli.Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Old Forge.Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 5-8 P.M.
