Obituaries

Fred C. Rosar, age 72, a lifelong resident of West Scranton, passed away Friday morning at Linwood Nursing Center in Scranton. Born in Scranton on July 7, 1940, Fred worked as a chef for Community Medical Center and Lackawanna County Head Start prior to his retirement. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by five children, sons, Mark and Wade Rosar, and daughters, Tara and Lori Rosar, and Lani Polkowski; a brother, Joseph Rosar; a longtime companion, Madelyn Pflecko; and former wives, Kathy Zielazowski and Claira Marsico; thirteen adoring grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services are scheduled for Wednesday at 11:00AM in the Bethel Baptist Church, 132 South Main Street in Scranton to be conducted by Rev. Joseph Santos, Pastor.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue, Scranton.
