Obituaries

Gaylon Heath McAlister, age 67, of Scranton, passed away Saturday evening at home. Born on October 5, 1944, son of the late Bernard and Vada Hamm McAlister, Gaylon was a devoted member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. He was also a very talented musician and chef who adored his family. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Roberta Bonifacio McAlister; his children, Vada and Lea McAlister of Dunmore, David McAlister of Tampa, Florida, and Sean McAlister of CA; and a brother, Gary McAlister of Nacona, Texas.
Also preceding him in death was a brother, Milton McAlister, and a sister, Edra Montez Hurd.
Memorial services by Rev. Betty Poe are scheduled for Saturday at 2:00PM at St. Paul’s U.M. Church, Prospect Ave. and Birch St., Scranton.
Arrangements are under the care of the Kearney Funeral Homes, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue in West Scranton.
