Obituaries

Rosalie E. Cianfichi, age 74, of Moscow, passed away Friday. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Robert A. Cianfichi.
Originally from Old Forge, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Muklewicz Wolchak, Rosalie was a 1956 graduate of Old Forge High School where she was a majorette. At one time employed at the International Correspondence School, she retired from PNC Bank. Of Roman Catholic faith, she was a member of Saint Eulalia Parish in Roaring Brook Township.
Rosalie’s love for her family and gracious and nurturing style endeared her to all. She enjoyed many years of travel in her motor home with her husband and dear friends, Penn State football games, and spending winters in Riverwoods, Estero, Florida.
Surviving are four sons and their spouses, Robert B. Cianfichi and Deborah, Ken Cianfichi and Carla, Thomas Cianfichi and Bryan Batt, and Jamie Cianfichi and Michelle, her brother, Joseph Wolchak, her brother-in-law, Benjamin Cianfichi and Darraugh, four grandchildren, Adam Cianfichi and wife Rachel, Cara Cianfichi, Kristi Cianfichi and Kayla Cianfichi.
A Mass of Christian Burial has been scheduled for Monday at 11:00AM in Saint Eulalia Church, 214 Blue Shutters Road in Roaring Brook Twp., to be celebrated by Rev. Cyril Edwards. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 10-11:00AM at the church.
Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street in Old Forge.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Rosalie’s name to either The American Cancer Society, 712 South Keyser Avenue, Taylor, 18517, or to Saint Eulalia Parish.
