Mark C. Dalley, age 56, of Old Forge, passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening at Regional Hospital of Scranton. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marina Scarnato Dalley. The couple would have celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on August 25th. Born in Red Bank, New Jersey, on April 30, 1956, son of the late A.C. and Betty Sweezy Dalley, Mark was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School. A forklift operator for the former Broan Manufacturing Company of Duryea for 21 years, he most recently worked for Kane Warehousing in Taylor. A longtime member of the Pennsylvania Nat’l Guard, he was also a member of both the American Legion and VFW of Duryea. An avid Philadelphia sports fan (Eagles, Phillies, Flyers), he also enjoyed golfing and playing darts. A loving husband, brother, uncle and friend, he adored his best friend, Daisy.
He is also survived by his sister, Carol Ann Atkinson of Beaumont; his brother-in-law, Nick Scarnato and wife Brenda of Chenango Forks, New York; his adopted sister, Fran Bordo-Scioscia; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. James C. Wert are scheduled for Monday at noon in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street in Old Forge. Interment will follow in Old Forge Cemetery. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Sunday between 5-8:00PM at the funeral home.
