Obituaries

Raymond J. Festino, age 84, of Old Forge, passed away Friday morning at the Hospice Community Care in Dunmore.
His loving wife of 63 years is the former Emily Thomas Festino.
Born in Old Forge on March 6, 1928 he was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret Reivello Festino. He was a 1945 graduate of Old Forge High School and served with the United States Navy during WWII. Before his retirement Raymond was employed by the Clarks Summit State Hospital as a vocational instructor. He also was employed by the former Gilotti Paint Store in Old Forge. Raymond was a member of Nebo Congregational Church Old Forge of which he was a trustee.
He was an avid New York Yankee Penn State, and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan
Also surviving are sons, Raymond J. Festino, Jr. and his wife Tina of Sarasota, Fla. and John Festino at home and daughters
Debra Zezeski and her husband Michael of Reisterstown, Md.
and Cathy Zora and her husband Faiek of Tampa, Fla.
A sister Lucy Salerno and her husband Joseph of Old Forge.

three great-grandchildren, and nieces
He was preceded in death by a daughter Gail Festino and three sister Josephine Madasky, Marie Corbett, and Theresa Ripa.
Funeral and committal services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 N. Main Street, Old Forge by the Rev. Wendy D’Agostino, pastor of the Nebo Congregational Church. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Harding. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8 P.M.
