Obituaries

Ann Marie (Mimi) Mahoney, age 49, of Bethlehem, and formerly of West Scranton, died Tuesday at home. Born in Irvington, New Jersey, on April 1, 1963, daughter of John (Jack) and Grace Lynott Mahoney, Ann Marie graduated from the former Bishop Hannan High School before earning her Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from DeSales University. Most recently, she worked as the accounting manager for Viamedia in Bethlehem. Of Roman Catholic faith, she was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in West Scranton. Her favorite pastime was reading, she loved working out and shopping, and she enjoyed vacations at the beach. A loving daughter, sister, relative and friend, she will be forever missed by als of those who loved her.
She is survived by four siblings, Timothy Mahoney and wife Annette of Bamberg, Germany, Robert Mahoney and wife Maureen of Scranton, and Kevin Mahoney and wife Jill, and Mary Frances Mahoney, all of Clarks Summit; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday to begin at 9:30AM from the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue, West Scranton, with a 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, Oram Street in West Scranton. Interment will follow at the Cathedral Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Sunday between 3-5:00PM at the funeral home.
