Jesse Landon Childress, Jr., 44, of Scranton, died Wednesday at the Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton. He and his wife the former Barbara Murphy Childress were married on October 27, 2004 and had been happily married for the past eight months.
Born on January 17, 1961 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Jesse Landon, Sr. and Christine E. Childress. He attended the Bethel A.M.E. Church, Scranton.
Surviving are Three Daughters, Noir, Markesha, and Glennesha and a son, Christian. Two brothers and two sisters. A Granddaughter Jada.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00PM in the Bethel A.M.E. Church 716 N. Washington Ave. Scranton.
