Obituaries

Jennie Decker, age 76, a guest of the Jewish Home of Scranton, died Monday evening September 27, 2004 at the home. She was the widow Elmer L. Decker, Jr. who died November 4, 1997.
Born in Old Forge on December 21, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Louis and Edith Spigarelli Taroli, she settled in Scranton 50 years ago.She was educated in Old Forge Schools.
Before her retirement she was employed as an inspector for Parodi Cigar of Scranton.She was a member of the Elmhurst Christian Center, Elmhurst of where she was a member of the Church Prayer Group. She was a member of the Deborah Heart Center, Browns Mills, New Jersey.
She is survived by her
daughter, Rebecca A. Decker of Scranton and two brothers, Gino Taroli of Old Forge and Sam Taroli of Scranton and a grandson Matthew David Decker and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by sisters Vickie Cremard and Norma Rizner.
The funeral will be Thursday October 1, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 North Main Street, Old Forge, with services by her brother-in-law, Dave Johns, Certified Lay Speaker. Interment will be in Marcy Cemetery in Duryea.Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 P.M.
