Edgar (Edward) Costello, age 79 and a lifelong West Scranton resident, passed away peacefully at home on Monday.
Born on April 8, 1943, and son of the late Edgar A. and Lillian (Mckeon) Costello, he was educated at West Scranton High School before serving in the U.S. Army prior to an honorable discharge from service. Prior to his retirement, he had worked for Ceco Associates as a maintenance manager at the Scranton Electric Building.
He is survived by his brother, Chuck Costello of Scranton; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Faith LaRussa, Dolores Dunleavy and Rachel Costello.
Blessing services by Rev. Richard Fox and burial rites are scheduled for Friday at 11:00 AM at the Cathedral Cemetery Chapel in West Scranton. Arrangements are under the care of the Kevin K.
