Thomas Goode, age 54, of Shavertown, passed away Wednesday morning at home.
A Jersey City, N.J. native, Tommy was born on February 6, 1966, to the late Robert and Barbara Goode. He was a man of many jobs but was proudest of his forklift skills.
A handyman of sorts, Tommy enjoyed rigging and tinkering with anything he could fix and was always the first one to lend a hand. A die-hard New York Giants fan, he also enjoyed camping, but more so spending time with his buddies and cracking jokes. He was caring and kind-hearted and above all else came his love for beloved daughter, Meaghan. His world revolved around her while making sure everyone around him knew that she was his biggest accomplishment. Taken from his loved ones too soon, he will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his daughter, Meaghan Goode and Keith Thomas of Old Forge; his sister, Robyn Goode of S.C.; his former wife, Mary Jackson of Pittston; and nieces and nephews whom he truly adored.
Siblings, Brian and Robert Goode and Barbara “Sissy” Zielinski, also preceded him in death.
A celebration of Tommy’s life is scheduled for Tuesday between 4-6:00PM at The Banks – a Waterfront Venue, 304 Kennedy Blvd., Pittston, conclude with services by Rev. Dr. Michael Shambora.
Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
