Anthony J. Gryczko, age 30 and a lifelong Old Forge resident, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening.
Born on October 25, 1987, son of loving parents Michael (Mickey) Gryczko and Philomena Jeffers and fiance James Fink, all of Old Forge, Anthony was a graduate of Old Forge High School. A passionate and talented photographer, he next studied photography at Johnson College in Scranton. Anthony was also an aspiring artist, having studied at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
An award winning power lifter, he also enjoyed both listening to and making music, as he was an avid guitarist. Taken from his loved ones much too soon, he leaves this world as a kind, caring and gentle soul who will never be forgotten and forever be missed by his loved ones.
He is also survived by his three siblings, Lorelei Gryczko and Tom Fonash, Sean Gryczko and Emily Flowers, and Kyrie Gryczko; his grandfather, Fletcher Jeffers; a girlfriend, Sabrina Sheerin; two nieces, one nephew, and many adoring aunts, uncles and cousins.
A blessing service by Rev. Francis Landry, C.P., Pastor of Saint Ann’s Basilica, and burial at Old Forge Cemetery will both be conducted privately. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Monday between 5-7:00PM at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street in Old Forge.
