Robert (Bob) Taylor, age 75, of Old Forge, passed away Monday evening at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton due to surgery complications. He was preceded in death on September 10, 2006, by his beloved wife of 26 years, Pat Palmiere Taylor.
Born in Taylor on September 20, 1942, Bob was a graduate of the former Taylor High School, Class of 1960, before earning his degree from Johnson School in 1963. A lifelong truck driver, he worked for Consolidated Freight Co. and Keystone Automotive before retiring as shop supervisor for Krise Bus Company.
A member of the Moosic United Methodist Church, Bob was a good man, both caring and kind-hearted, and although his passing was unexpected, he died at peace. He will be forever missed.
He is survived by his family, his brothers, Scott and Richard Taylor; his daughters, Terri and Rebecca Taylor and Donna Freeman; faithful caregiver and stepdaughter, Teresa Ann Ceccoli; stepson, Christopher Fedor; grandchildren and step-grandchildren, including caregiver and step grandson, Matthew Fedor; nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Anne Griffiths and her children.
A son, Robert Taylor, Jr.; and sisters, Nancy Margheriti, Laura Bratlee and Janet Louise, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday at 6:00PM at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge, to be conducted by Rev. Dr. Michael Shambora. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 4:00PM until services.
