William Staff, Jr., 46 of Jefferson Twp., passed away suddenly at home, after a recent illness.
Born in Scranton, son of Ann Morley Staff, with whom he resided, and the late William Staff, Sr., Bill was a graduate of North Pocono High School, Class of 1986. Upon working for GNB Technologies of Dunmore for 15 years, he became a chef upon graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Prior to illness, he worked as a journeyman electrician, having completed his five-year apprenticeship and becoming a member of the Local 81. A great outdoorsman, he loved anything outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, gardening and ice fishing. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is also survived by his daughter, Marena; his brother, Paul Staff; his aunt, Mary Clare Staff; and many cousins.
Private arrangements are under the care of the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Street in Scranton.
