Ralph Broden, age 89, of Taylor, died Monday morning at the Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton. He is survived by his wife Mary Kutney Broden.They were married 59 years.
Born on August 18, 1915 in Taylor he was the son of the late Andrew and Anna Cymbola Broden. He was a 1933 graduate of Taylor High School. Before his retirement he was employed as a maintenance supervisor for National Pretzel of Dunmore for 45 years.He was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Taylor He was also a member of Men’s Society of the Church.
Surviving are two sons, Andrew Broden and his wife Marilyn of Dillsburg, Pa. and Ralph J. Broden and his wife Terri of Johnson City, N.Y.
two daughters, Barbara Hobdell and her husband Nelson of Glen Mills, PA and Mary K. Adamsky and her husband Don, of Selinsgrove, PA.
three Grandsons Nelson Hobdell IV, Sean Hobdell, and Christopher Adamsky.

He was preceded in death by four brothers John, Russell, Charles and Michael Broden, and two sisters Stella Siderowicz, and Mary Rolka.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 North Main Street, Old Forge, with Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church 408 N. Main St., Taylor. Interment will be in St. Catherines Cemetery in Moscow.

5:00 to 8:00 PM.
