Leonard H. Piechocki, of Old Forge, died Wednesday morning at Mercy Hospital, Scranton. He and his wife, the former, Mary C. Maslanka, would have celebrated their 55 th Wedding anniversary on May 20, 2005.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Michael and Carrie Potocki Piechocki. He was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Capital Records, Scranton. He was a member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Old Forge.
Surviving are a Sister,
Beatrice DePaul, Toms River, N.J.
and two Brothers, Marty, of Latta, South Carolina and Frank of Nicholson
Nieces and Nephews
He was preceded in death by Three sisters: Carol Warzczhar, Violet Grooms, and Jennifer Green and two brothers Tony and Henry.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 AM from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 North Main Street, Old Forge, with a Mass of christian burial at 10:00AM in St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church 236 Vine Street, Old Forge by Rev. Joseph M. Brozena, Pastor. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Old Forge. The family will receive friends 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM.
Full military services will be conducted by the AMVETS Post 189, Dupont.
