Leonard Celli, age 91 and a resident of Old Forge, passed away Monday.
Son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Mattei) Celli, Leonard was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who had worked in the coal mines,
owned and operated Celli’s Pizza Shop and was an employee of Owens-Illinois, Inc., prior to his retirement. Above anything else, his passion was hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Ann (Dunston) Celli, on April 24, 2017; daughters, Gale Celli & Deborah Taroli; sisters, Helen Gagliardi and Nancy Shehadi; and his
son-in-law, Michael Belcastro; and many other loving family members.
Surviving are daughters, Lynn Belcastro & Valerie Celli; granddaughters, Lana and Gina Belcastro; a great granddaughter, Amelia; a son-in-law, Guy Taroli, a brother-in-law, Bill Dunston and Wife Ruth; a sister-in-law, Barbera Dunston; and nieces and nephews.
His family wishes to thank all of the health care staff for their collective care and compassion given to both Leonard and his family throughout Leonard’s illness.
