Harold Kirk Lockett, age 83, of Old Forge, died Tuesday evening at the Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton. He is survived by his wife , Norma Basta Lockett.They celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary this year.
Born in Moosic on February 8, 1921 he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth Brownlee Lockett, he settled in Old Forge 37 years ago. He was educated in Moosic Schools.He was a WWII Army Veteran where he received the WWII Victory Medal, The American Campaign Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.He was a member of Moosic V.F.W.
Before his retirement he was employed by the former Garlet Manufacturing in Old Forge. He formerly attended the Moosic Presbyterian Church, Moosic.
He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister Mildred Brown and brothers William, Kenneth, and Sidney Lockett.
The funeral will be Saturday with a blessing service at 10:00 A.M. in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 North Main Street, Old Forge. Interment will be at Marcy Cemetery in Duryea, Friends may call Friday from 5-8 P.M.
