Elizabeth M. Rutosky, age 79, a resident of the Allied Skilled Nursing Services in Scranton, formerly of 113 South Cameron Avenue in the Keyser Valley Section of West Scranton, died Sunday morning at Allied. She was the widow of Robert C. Rutosky who died in September 1991.
Born in Carbondale on March 12, 1925 , she was the daughter of the late Fabian and Kathleen Ward Farrell. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Ann’s Basilica, West Scranton
She is survived by her one son, Charles Rutosky of Louisville, Ky. and one daughter, Patricia Wilmot of Nicholson.One sister,
Nancy Gerlac of Lancaster and a grandson Douglas Wilmot and a granddaughter Amanda Wilmot and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William T. and Fabian P. Farrell.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister.She had a great love for animals. She was everyone’s "Aunt Betty".
The funeral will be Monday December 27th at 9:30 A.M. from the Durkan-Cuff-Kearney Funeral Home, 125 N.Main Ave., West Scranton with mass of the christian burial at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Ann’s Basilica , St. Ann’s Street in West Scranton to be celebrated by the Rev. William J. Maguire, C.P.Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery.Friends may call Sunday December 26th from 4-7 P.M.
