Arthur E. Piccotti, age 73, of Old Forge died Sunday afternoon at the Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton. He is survived by his wife Laura Quaranta Piccotti. They celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on August 10th.
Born in Old Forge on July 27, 1931 he was the son of the late Umberto and Rosina Nasoni Piccotti. He was a graduate of Endicott, New York Schools and also was a graduate of Penn State University where he received a degree in drafting.He served in the Army during the Korean War.He was a self employed carpenter and the owner of Art Piccotti Construction, Old Forge.He was a member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Old Forge
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and canning.
Also surviving are three sons,
Dave Piccotti of Taylor, Arthur Piccotti of Fair Lawn, N.J. and
Joseph Piccotti of Ann Arbor, Mich. Two daughters;Roseann Riccio of Palm Springs, Calif. and Maria Speicher of Taylor. 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister Vilma Malvaggi.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9:00 A.M. from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 North Main Street, Old Forge with mass of the christian burial at 9:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, corner of Lawrence and West Grace Streets in Old Forge. Interment will be at Old Forge Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 P.M.
