Andrew Berkoski, Sr., age 79, a longtime Clarks Summit/Chinchilla resident, passed away Sunday morning at Elan Skilled Nursing Center in Scranton following an illness.
Born in Scranton on February 16, 1947, and son of the late Edward and Sophie (Rutkowski) Berkoski, Andrew was formerly employed by Lackawanna County as the assistant chief clerk of the County Assessor’s Office.
He is survived by a son, Andrew, Jr. of Taylor; a grandson, Noah Berkoski; a brother, Walter Berkoski of Pittsburgh and extended family and friends. A brother, Bernard “Bernie” Berkoski, and a sister, Frances Fisher, also preceded him in death.
